Analysis of total output value and growth rate of China's printing industry in 2017

Ink is a part of printing equipment, ink demand is closely related to the overall development of printing industry. Affected by the domestic economic situation, the total output value of Chinese printing industry has declined since 2014. In 2015, the total output value of China's printing industry was 1.12 trillion yuan, with a growth rate of only 3.6%.

The independent production capacity of Chinese ink industry has been improved. Since 2012, the export quantity of Chinese printing ink has exceeded the import quantity for five consecutive years, and China has become a net exporter of ink from a net importing country. However, in recent three years, the quantity and amount of printing ink export slowed down or even declined. In 2016, the quantity of printing ink export was 25,600 tons, decreasing by 11.1%. Exports amounted to US $115 million, the same decrease of 22.5 per cent.
